Bathrooms are a tough place for electronics. You’ve got thick steam from the shower hitting a heating element that’s glowing red hot. It’s a recipe for disaster. In most infrared wall heaters, there’s one specific spot where things usually go wrong: right where the electrical wire enters the quartz tube. If that seal isn’t perfect, moisture sneaks in. The problem with “cheap” Most budget heaters just use basic glue or some low-melt plastic to plug that gap. It works for a while. But infrared lamps go through a lot of thermal cycling—heating up and cooling down over and over. Eventually, that cheap sealant bakes. It shrinks. It cracks. Once there’s a tiny gap, the steam from your morning shower finds its way inside. It causes carbonization, and the whole thing burns out. It’s a frustrating cycle. We do things differently. You can’t just slap some glue on it with a machine and call it a day; it requires actual precision tooling. Sure, it makes the initial price a bit higher. But it means you aren’t replacing your heater every single winter. It’s the difference between buying something cheap today and buying something that actually lasts.
