The whole thing is centered around a 300mm tube, packing 2500W of power, and running on 400V. That combo gives you a heater that stays compact and can plug straight into your plant power—no need for extra transformers to hold the current back.
What Makes It Tick: Power, Voltage, and Size
Here’s the thing: that 2500W halogen lamp inside a 300mm tube concentrates a ton of heat into a small footprint. The result? High watt density that means the heater wakes up quickly. No waiting around. And the 400V rating? That’s the quiet hero. It pulls less current than a 230V setup, so you can run longer cables with thinner wires and still keep voltage drop low. Your terminal block stays cooler, and the whole integration becomes simpler. Then there’s the 300mm length. It keeps the profile tight, so you can mount the heater close to where you actually need the heat, without needing a bulky enclosure to make room.
Materials and Design: Built to Take It
We chose a quartz envelope because it can handle the searing filament temperatures and doesn’t crack under the stress of repeated on/off cycles. The halogen fill gas keeps the filament temperature steady and slows down that blackening you get over time, so the output stays consistent across the life of the lamp. And the R7s connector? It’s a straight-through, two-pin ceramic base that stays cool at the ends even when things get hot. It locks in a solid connection that doesn’t wiggle loose when there’s vibration. Plus, it drops straight into standard R7s sockets, so swapping out a lamp on the shop floor is quick and painless.
Where It Shines and What to Keep in Mind
Mounted outside on a wall, these heaters throw focused infrared heat exactly where you aim it. Perfect for spot heating, freeze protection, and preheating a process area that’s out in the elements. Because the output is concentrated, you can heat a specific zone without trying to warm the entire volume of air. That means less wasted energy. Now, with that much heat density, you do need adequate clearance and proper ventilation around the lamp. And the quartz envelope needs to be protected from bumps and impacts. For engineers, that translates to an install that’s straightforward, heat delivery that’s predictable, and maintenance that doesn’t turn into a headache.
