It doesn&amp;rsquo;t bother warming up the air; it goes straight for your skin and the walls. If you go too big, you might actually overheat the fixture itself. Go too small? You’ll be standing there shivering, waiting for a warmth that&amp;rsquo;s never coming.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;How much power do you actually need?&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;It mostly comes down to the size of your room.&#xA;For those tiny powder rooms (under 4m²), a single 250W to 400W lamp usually does the trick. It creates a nice, cozy little bubble of heat.&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;re dealing with a medium-sized bathroom (4m² to 8m²), you&amp;rsquo;ll want something in the 600W to 800W range. I usually suggest splitting that across two lamps. It spreads the heat around better so you don&amp;rsquo;t have one &amp;ldquo;hot spot&amp;rdquo; and one &amp;ldquo;cold spot.&amp;rdquo;&#xA;For the big master suites (over 8m²), you&amp;rsquo;re looking at 1000W or more.&#xA;But wait—don&amp;rsquo;t forget about your ceilings. If you have high ceilings (like 3 meters), you&amp;rsquo;ll need more juice than someone with a low 2.2-meter ceiling. Heat loses its punch as it travels, so the further it has to go, the harder the lamp has to work.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The trade-offs&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;There&amp;rsquo;s always a catch. Higher wattage means the lamps get way hotter. We use quartz glass to keep things from cracking under the stress, but if your ventilation is bad, pushing a lamp to its limit will burn out the filament faster.&#xA;Plus, while a high-wattage unit warms up almost instantly, that initial power spike can be a bit hard on your circuit breaker.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;A few tips for the install&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Most of these use R7s or Sk15 connectors, so swapping them is pretty easy. But please, check your wiring.&#xA;If you try to run a 1200W array through thin wires, you&amp;rsquo;re asking for trouble. You&amp;rsquo;ll get voltage drops and the terminals can actually start to heat up.&#xA;And one last thing: before you pop in a higher-wattage lamp than what came with the unit, double-check that the housing can actually handle the heat.
